Membership application
   Those who are interested in joining the Society, please read the Bylaws , and apply by the following procedure.

   Application procedure for regular and student membership
  Apply by either one of the following procedures. Only the application submitted by the applicant will be accepted.

1.Submit an application form in writing:
Send completed application form via fax, mail, or email attachment to head office.

   How to fill-out the application forms:
  1. Specify which address you prefer to be contacted, work address or home address, and be sure to write your specified contact name, address, and the point of contact.
  2. As a general rule, indicate names of the academic department and research lab of the university with which you are affiliated or department and section of the affiliated organization.
  3. Be sure to indicate your area of specialization by circling it.
  4. Applying as a student member, indicate the name of your academic supervisor and his/her official title.
  5. Be sure to write the fiscal year in the designated column. The fiscal year of the Society begins in January and ends in December.

   Methods of the remittance of the dues and shipment of the Journal:
Membership type Enrollment fee Annual dues
Regular ¥1,000 10,000
Student 1,000 ¥4,000
Patron - ¥50,000/share(No less than 1 share)

  • About 2 weeks to 1 month after completion of your enrollment, we will send you a designated remittance form. Remit payments with the form from nearby post office.
  • We will send our journal “Virus” from the first issue of the fiscal year to new members.
   To correspond with our office, e.g. notifying change of address, change in membership type, withdrawal from membership, and other communication, always indicates your membership ID number and send it to our office via fax, mail, or email attachment.
Individual membership is not transferable.
