Opportunity to work in an interactive environment with virologists, immunologists, primate veterinarians and molecular virologists on the comparative pathogenesis of wild type and vaccine strains of measles virus in rhesus macaques. This NIH-funded project builds on our previous observations of long term viral RNA persistence in lymphoid tissues after infection with wild type measles virus (Lin et al PNAS, 2012) and will involve assessment of the replication and immune responses to recombinant viruses.
Requirements – Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DVM or equivalent) candidate. Experience working with virus infections, preferably measles virus and immune responses.
Send cover letter, resume and 2-3 letters of recommendation to: Diane E. Griffin, MD PhD; (dgriffi6@jhu.edu)
